When you call a participating contractor's business number and schedule an inspection, repair visit, or callback, the receptionist will ask whether you would like to receive text message updates about that appointment.
During your call, the receptionist asks: "Would you like a text confirmation for this appointment? By saying yes, you agree to receive appointment confirmations and service updates from [Contractor Name] at this number. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help." Your "yes" is recorded with a timestamp on the call record before any text is sent. You can also opt in by texting the word START to the contractor's business number.
